Biomedical Photometrics Company Profile

18:58 EDT 24th September 2018 | BioPortfolio

Biomedical Photometrics Inc. (BPI) is a developer, manufacturer and marketer of widefield, confocal scanning laser microscopes for the pathology, medical research, genomics and general microscopy markets. These products are based on the patented MACROscope® technology, focusing on products for three market segments – the TISSUEscope® for tissue and tissue array imaging, the DNAscope® microarray scanners, and Open Frame imaging systems for Research and OEM applications. The MACROscope® technology uses telecentric laser scan lenses instead of microscope objectives, resulting in a field of view that is more than ten times that of a microscope with the same resolution. This enables the instrument to image large specimens in a single scan, using several different contrast mechanisms, without tiling
