Epitomics, Inc., an emerging biotechnology company, is dedicated to developing breakthrough monoclonal antibody technology for research, diagnostic and therapeutic applications. The company utilizes a unique and proprietary RabMAb® (Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody) technology which produces antibodies with superior binding affinity and bioactivity in a wide variety of biological assays. Epitomics, Inc. (www.epitomics.com) is headquartered in Burlingame, California, and operates a wholly owned subsidiary in Hangzhou, the People's Republic of China.

Recently, Epitomics was issued two important industry-changing patents that go a long way towards solidifying the company’s position in the growing monoclonal antibody marketplace. To summarize the patents:

- Epitomics was issued patent no. 7,429,487, which covers the next generation of cells for producing rabbit monoclonal antibodies and further establishes Epitomics’ unique position as *the* rabbit monoclonal antibody company.

- Epitomics was issued patent no. 7,431,927 covering a broad grouping of anti-TNF (Tumor Necrosis Factor) antibodies. This potentially industry-changing antibody patent provides a sweeping grant of exclusivity that will broadly cover any antibody that contains the binding region of a particular rabbit TNF-neutralizing antibody, as well as a large number of variant antibodies that contain amino acid substitutions in the antibody’s binding region.

These are just two recent accomplishments – the founders of Epitomics have hundreds of antibody-related inventions to their credit and the company is continually innovating. Below are press releases detailing the two recent patents.
