Forlab was established in 1954 representing two companies: A/S Syntetic, a sulphas producer in the city of Aarhus South Denmark and Grinstede Werke, vitamins producer also from Denmark. In the 70’s, Forlab established a relationship with FMC (Food Machinery Corporation) by distributing microcrystalline cellulose for the Brazilian market, partnership that lasted for 28 years. In mid 90’s, looking for new segment, Forlab made several new international partnerships.In 1972, Forlab was the first Brazilian company to establish commercial relationship with China, a visionary mission from the founder of the company, Mr. Giulite Coutinho, also founder of the Brazilian Foreign Trade Association (Associação Brasileira de Comércio Exterior)
