Fort Environmental Laboratories is an environmental toxicology laboratory and consulting firm specializing in study of amphibians, reptiles, and fish. Co-founded by Dr. Douglas (Doug) and Deanne Fort, FEL is the only commercial laboratory in the U.S. to use amphibians and reptilian species as indicators of environment health (InfoGraphic). Fort Environmental Laboratories has developed or co-developed test methods in the following areas, including: Short-Term Embryo-Larval Assays, including Frog Embryo Teratogenesis Assay - Xenopus (FETAX) Amphibian Metamorphosis Assays (Thyroid Disruption)
