(MTI) provides the worldwide medical community with non-invasive diagnostic products and support services for early detection and monitoring of atherosclerotic vascular disease, the #1 cause of morbidity and mortality in the nation. This is accomplished by using proprietary ultrasound image processing software and scientific methodology developed at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) and the Atherosclerosis Research Unit (ARU) at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California (USC). In addition to its proprietary, patented products, MTI maintains an exclusive perpetual, worldwide license with Caltech and USC.
