Impres Medical, Inc Company Profile

14:32 EST 16th December 2018 | BioPortfolio

Impres Medical is developing an exciting platform technology which can be applied as an effective, non-surgical, non-drug based treatment for many gynecological disorders. Our initial product is a new kind of treatment for women with heavy painful periods; a true next generation treatment compared to current endometrial ablation techniques. The compelling thing about our approach is that it is being designed to be performed in the physicians office, with no anesthesia, allowing the patient to return home comfortably following the procedure. There are an estimated 6.4 million women with this disorder (abnormal uterine bleeding) in the United States alone! Impres Medical's platform technology has a strong and broad based IP position, with minimal technical and clinical risk for investors. This technology will provide strong economic advantages in the market place, require a minimal amount of time and resources to confirm its usefulness in humans, and provide excellent gross margins for the company. This project has not been reviewed or approved by the FDA and will not be promoted for sale prior to FDA approval. The surgeon/designer is Jim Presthus, MD
