The Danish Association of the Pharmaceutical Industry (Lif) is an association with 41 member companies which cover app. 90 percent of the sale of pharmaceuticals in Denmark. The majority of industrial medical research in Denmark lies with Lif’s members. Lif looks after the general commercial, political and social interests of the pharmaceutical industry, and at the same time the association is responsible for extensive information processing to the members.
Lif works for pharmaceuticals to be visible to Danish society and recognised in a patient-centric public health service and the pharmaceutical industry to be perceived as a responsible partner that makes a valuable contribution to society

Lif endeavours to obtain the best possible conditions for the pharmaceutical industry to undertake research, to develop, market and provide information about pharmaceuticals and in this way to ensure patients of broad and rapid access to the best medical treatment
