Lipid Sciences, Inc. (LIPD) is a development-stage biotechnology company that is researching and developing products and processes to treat major medical indications such as cardiovascular disease, HIV and other viral infections in which lipids or fat components play a key role. LIPD's technologies are based on a patented process that selectively and rapidly removes lipids from proteins circulating in blood plasma without disrupting protein function. This process of lipid removal, known as delipidation, potentially reverses the condition while enhancing the body's natural ability to heal itself. The Company believes that its unique delipidation process has the potential for far-reaching implications for human health. It may reverse cardio-and cerebrovascular disease, as well as provide an effective therapy against many infectious agents, including the viruses that cause AIDS, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, SARS, Influenza and West Nile. Our Purpose We dedicate our collective expertise to the development of innovative therapies for lipid-related diseases and, above all, the improvement of patient care. By focusing on the biochemistry of disease rather than the symptoms, we seek to enhance the body's innate healing mechanisms with our unique molecular level lipid-removal technology. What we stand for Our values are our promise. We are relentless in our pursuit of excellence and the attainment of our vision. Integrity Our integrity permeates all that we do--our relationships and our products. Ingenuity Unconventional thinking fuels our pursuit of new knowledge and breakthrough discovery. Teamwork United by diversity, we are better together than alone as we pursue our one clear and elevating goal.
