Matrixx Initiatives, Inc. (Nasdaq: MTXX) is changing the way consumers use healthcare products. Matrixx is a high growth over-the-counter healthcare company engaged in the development and marketing of products that utilize unique and proprietary delivery systems that provide consumers with “better ways to get better.” Zicam, LLC, our wholly-owned subsidiary, produces, markets, and sells a full line of Zicam® branded products. From the introduction of our flagship product, Zicam Cold Remedy (Nasal Pump) in 1999, we have developed and introduced fifteen additional Zicam products within the cold, allergy & sinus, and cough market groups of the $3.5 billion cough/cold category. Matrixx’s ability to bring new products to market quickly, increase distribution at retail, and have customers recognize the benefits our products deliver, are some of the key success factors contributing to Zicam’s phenomenal growth and increasing brand awareness. Our innovative and convenient products help improve the lives of busy people who don’t like to lose time by being sick.
In February 2005, the Company announced Nasal Comfort™, a new brand and product for nasal health. The initial offering under the new brand is a unique product designed to help maintain the critical functions of the nasal cavity and its role in the respiratory process. Nasal Comfort is a preservative-free, sterile, hyper-tonic aqueous solution with essential salts and oils that cleanses and moisturizes the nose
