History of Scientific DistributorsNurnberg Thermometer, the parent company of Nurnberg Scientific, was established in Brooklyn, New York in 1895 as a supplier of thermometers and marine gauges. In 1947 the owners established Nurnberg Scientific, a family owned and operated general lab supply company in Portland, Oregon. Committed to continuous improvement and expansion of its products and services, Nurnberg Scientific is pleased to offer our newest catalog filled with products from over four hundred global manufacturers. You can depend on our premier quality and customer care.

In August of 2004 Nurnberg Scientific was purchased by the General Manager and is now locally owned. With our new focus on excellence in distribution the new owner changed the name to Scientific Distributors.
