Osborn Drugs, Inc. Company Profile

Osborn Drugs was established in 1971 over 33 years ago. The business was a continuation of the following drug stores beginning in 1895: Alpha Pharmacy, Shirver-Cunningham, Harrah-Obanion, Wiley Rexall Drugs, Wiley-Cole Rexall Drugs, and Cole-Osborn Rexall Drugs. These were all on South Main in Miami, Indian Territory, which became Oklahoma in 1907. Over the years other pharmacies in Miami transferred their presciprion files to Osborn Drugs as ownership changed. Some of those names are Medical Arts Pharmacy, Village Pharmacy, McAleer Drug Store, Osborn Pharmacy, Gibson Pharmacy. Located at 2 South Main for five years, Osborn was the No. 1 Rexall Drug Store in Oklahoma. In 1976 the Drug Store was moved across the alley to 11 West Central, a location containing 6000 square feet which doubled the size of the business. We now have 37 employees, and many are long time workers.
We are proud to have served our community for these years. We count ourselves lucky to have loyal customers, some of whom are the fourth generation of people we served years ago.
Willie Osborn, president of Osborn Drugs, started to work in 1950 for John Wiley Drug Co. In 1986 his son, Bill Osborn, became a part of Osborn Drugs as a Registered Pharmacist. He is now the vice-president and partner and a very important part of the future of our business. Bill's involvement shows our commitment to Miami with another generation of Osborn ownership in place.
