Rockwell started in January 1995, with four employees, when it began manufacturing and distributing dialysis kits and other ancillary dialysis products. In January of 1996, the Company moved into a new 35,000 square foot manufacturing plant and began production and distribution of acid concentrate and bicarbonate along with ancillary dialysis products. The Company successfully completed an initial public offering (IPO) in January of 1998 and began trading on the NASDAQ Exchange under the symbol RMTI. In 1998, after several months of development, the Company successfully launched two new and innovative products. Both products, Dri-Sate® Dry Acid Concentrate and SteriLyte® Liquid Bicarbonate, were advancements over current industry technology and made a positive and immediate impact throughout the dialysis provider market.
