Plantum NL Company Profile

19:58 EDT 23rd September 2018 | BioPortfolio

Plantum NL is the Dutch association for breeding, tissue culture, production and trade of seeds and young plants. Plantum NL represents some 500 businesses in floriculture, horticulture and agriculture, giving voice when it comes to discussions with government bodies, social organisations and other parties involved in agribusiness. The affiliated firms are active in plant breeding, propagation of cuttings, seeds and young plants and trade in plant material. Collaboration in Plantum NL is aimed at creating international credibility and a common vision of the sector's future.
Plantum NL was formed in 2001 after a merge of three associations (NVZP, NVP and Ciopora Holland) and the business unit “propagation” of the VGB. With this merge a stronger voice of companies towards government and other interest groups was accomplished.
