The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids), affiliated with the University of Toronto, is Canada's most research-intensive hospital and the largest centre dedicated to improving children's health in the country. In 2003/2004 SickKids saw over 300,000 clinic, medical day care and diagnostic visits, nearly 50,000 emergency visits, and performed nearly 12,000 operating room cases.
