Santa Cruz, California-based Validus Medical Systems, Inc. is a privately held healthcare IT solutions firm founded by serial entrepreneur David Kashtan, who has a track record of success in information technology. After working at Stanford Research Institute’s Artificial Intelligence Center, David founded TGV Software, which he took public and later sold to Cisco Systems in 1996. Following this success, he founded Network Alchemy, which was sold to Nokia in 2000. In 2002, Kashtan formed Validus to solve a seemingly intractable problem in healthcare IT: no CPOE product on the market could offer complete clinical coverage while providing the physician with the mobility their practice demanded. The solution is inTouchTM.
