Dr. James Griffin, Jr., Chief Medical Officer for Southeast MS Rural Health Initiative (FQHC), and Quality Improvement & Care Coordination Chairman for the ACO, said he is pleased the ACO generated $1.2 million in shared savings. “As an ACO delivering care in underserved areas through Federally Qualified Health Centers, we are encouraged and proud to have achieved shared savings in 2014,” Dr. Griffin said. “This is tangible evidence of the great work done by our providers and the high quality care that can be delivered to Medicare beneficiaries at lowered cost in communities across Mississippi.”
