MIAMI LAKES, FL -- (Marketwired) -- 06/01/15 -- Asana Medical, Inc. June 15th - 18th.

Asana's lead product "ECMH" is being initially developed to treat ulcerative colitis, one major form of IBD. Future generations of Asana's product will be applied to Crohn's Disease, the other major form of IBD, and possibly to other gastrointestinal conditions. ECMH is a hydrogel composed of porcine extracellular matrix, which will be delivered to the diseased colon to build a protective barrier and create a scaffold for natural tissue recovery to occur. Extracellular matrix (ECM) products have demonstrated excellent safety and efficacy in multiple clinical applications, including esophageal repair, hernia repair, pericardial closures, and burn and wound treatments. It has been successfully commercialized for over a decade. Asana's ECMH technology offers the promise of a non-pharmacologic, non-surgical treatment for UC.
