NEW YORK, June 08, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- ITG (NYSE:ITG), a leading independent execution broker and research provider, today announced that May 2015 U.S. trading volume was 3.6 billion shares and average daily volume (ADV) was 182 million shares. This compares to 3.9 billion shares and ADV of 184 million shares in April 2015 and 3.0 billion shares and ADV of 144 million shares in May 2014. There were 20 trading days in May 2015 and 21 trading days in both April 2015 and May 2014.
In addition to overall U.S. trading volumes, ITG also provides a monthly summary of average daily volume (double counted) and average trade size for the POSIT crossing network and the POSIT Alert indications system for block crossing.
