BANGOR, Maine, July 19, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Dr. Robin W. Gooden, clinic director at Back in Balance Wellness Center in Bangor, Maine, is pleased to announce the fourth annual Pack a Backpack Drive. "Back in Balance Wellness Center is an integrative wellness clinic that prides itself in giving back to the community," says Dr. Gooden. "This drive is the perfect opportunity for us to do just that." This year's drive will take place between July 13th and August 6th, with winner of the pair of Reba McEntire tickets announced on air at Q106.5 radio station on August 7th.
Back in Balance Wellness Center believes that part of serving a community's whole health needs involves serving the community. In addition to offering nutritional counseling, acupuncture, physical therapy, chiropractic care and more, the clinic also offers community events to benefit families and children in the community.
People in and around Bangor are encouraged to drop off school supplies to fill these backpacks any time during the drive. Cash donation and/or individual school supplies — such as crayons, glue sticks, binders, folders, notebooks etc. — or a complete backpack with school supplies. However large or small the donation, all is needed and appreciated. The address for drop off is: 16 Penn Plaza, Suite 22, in Bangor.
The Pack a Backpack Drive begins on July 13th and ends on August 6th. During that time, Back in Balance Wellness Center is offering a massage promotion to encourage participation within the community.
The drive, hosted in conjunction with local radio station Q106.5, hopes to attract a lot of interest and participation. In addition to the massage special, anyone who makes a donation will also have the opportunity to be entered to win two tickets to see Reba McEntire perform on August 21, 2015, at Darling's Waterfront Pavilion.

He is certified by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners and is a member of the Maine Chiropractic Association and International Pediatric Chiropractor's Association. He looks forward to the annual backpack drive because, "It's my chance to not only help people in the community that has become home to me, but also to encourage other people by giving them opportunities to do so as well – in whatever way they are able to." When he's not working or sharing his passion about wellness living, Dr. Gooden can be found spending time with his family, mountain biking, fishing, hunting or engaged in home renovation projects.
