SAN DIEGO, Aug. 10, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Entra Health today announced the launch of Entra360, a one-stop solution that provides an effective, easy to implement solution for gathering wireless biometric data. Entra360 is an effective solution for both the payer/provider and clinical research market segments. Entra360 is part of expanding efforts by the company to provide easy-to-implement, turnkey solutions for cloud-based analytics and remote patient monitoring.
Entra360 works within the company’s MyHealthPoint real-time online data collection network, an FDA 510K Class II approved solution. It integrates MyGlucoHealth, the first FDA approved wireless blood glucose meter. In diabetes research, MyGlucoHealth has become the de facto standard for glucose data collection in clinical trials and has regulatory approvals in 50 countries. Entra360 can upload and report a broad range of data including blood glucose, blood pressure, ECG, weight and activity monitoring data, along with nutrition and other biometric input from devices produced by various manufacturers around the world.
“Entra360 was built on the most trusted, proven and versatile interconnection architecture in the industry,” said Richard C. Strobridge, CEO of Entra Health. “By design, it is universally compatible with nearly every EHR/EMR system. The Internet web service APIs, Android/WinPhone Entra Listener Apps and ecosystem interfaces offer customers the ability to leverage the platform and device connectivity for their own application or to use the MyHealthPoint viewing and reporting structure through web or mobile devices within a direct clinical environment or for double blind masking in clinical research.”
“Entra360 is currently being used in research studies related to chronic illnesses such as heart disease, diabetes, sleep disorders, COPD and hypertension in more than 75 countries around the world,” added Strobridge. “Approval of investigational new drugs (IND) depends on accurate, timely and secure data collection from trial participants. Entra360 technology quietly monitors not just the testing results of patients, but also the patterns of their testing. Using this information and automated tools, Entra360 can set up reminders to encourage patients to test more frequently, as well as to notify investigators and clinicians when testing patterns fluctuate.
Within Entra360, personal information is stored in a secure, encrypted database with privacy controls set by the individual, clinician or caregiver, including what information goes in and who gets to see it. This data helps clarify and define clinical trial and treatment strategies to improve overall patient care.
