Imedex, LLC to accredit and organize the annual conference.
New York, New York (PRWEB) March 09, 2017
Great Debates and Updates in Gastrointestinal Malignancies, an annual conference taking place in New York, NY March 24-25, 2017 and organized by Imedex, LLC, will gather the leading researchers and healthcare professionals in the field of gastrointestinal oncology for an interactive, 2-day, debate-driven discussion. The conference will highlight key advances surrounding the diagnosis and management of a broad continuum of gastrointestinal malignancies, including esophageal, gastric, hepatocellular, pancreatic, and colorectal cancers. Faculty and audience discussion will focus on how new information can be applied to current community practice.
“I don’t think there is any meeting out there which delivers so much information on how to treat patients with GI malignancies in such a comprehensive and entertaining way.” - Axel Grothey, MD, Co-Chair
Given the plethora of clinical trials, emerging data and ongoing clinical controversies, community oncologists will greatly benefit from expert guidance on important issues in optimizing the management of patients with GI malignancies. In addition, Great Debates and Updates in Gastrointestinal Malignancies’ interactive format will enable more collaborative discussion between faculty and conference participants.
“By receiving expert viewpoints and guidance on both sides of controversial issues that oncologists face in daily practice, they are able to make more well-informed decisions based on individual patient needs,” said Chris Bolwell, COO of Imedex. “We are delighted to continue our partnership with the chairs and faculty to bring the gastrointestinal oncology community such an outstanding educational opportunity.”
2017 marks the eighth annual conference, which will be chaired by Axel Grothey, MD (Mayo Clinic) and David H. Ilson, MD, PhD (Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center). As in past years, the meeting will be certified and organized by Imedex, an industry leader in providing CME programs in a live conference setting and online. Attendance is expected to be over 300 this year, and will likely be the largest annual gathering to date.
