RubiconMD, a leader in specialty eConsults, announced the launch of one of the first accredited Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs in a health technology-based company. The program will offer primary care providers (PCPs) monthly formal, evidence-based live lectures and educational webinars on topics relevant to their clinical practice, showcasing a diverse range of specialty expertise.

This program, Optimizing Management of Common Specialty Conditions in the Primary Care Setting, from 07/01/2017 - 07/01/2018,has been reviewed and is acceptable for credit by the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP). Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. The program is also eligible for Continuing Education credits from the American Association of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).

“Providing this resource to primary care providers is part of our larger vision to ensure that practicing primary care clinicians have access to everything they need to feel empowered to care for their patients, at and after the point of care,” said J. Nwando Olayiwola, MD, MPH, FAAFP, RubiconMD’s Chief Clinical Transformation Officer, who is also a practicing family physician and a fellow of the AAFP. “eConsults provide same-day insights to top specialist opinions for our PCPs, which enable them to manage their patients with confidence.”
