DURHAM, North Carolina-based contract research organization (CRO) PharPoint Research, Inc. expanded its consulting services and established a fully dedicated consulting division of the company on June 23.
The expanded consulting services division is under the leadership of Chief Scientific Officer Dr. Jennifer A. Elder, a founding partner of PharPoint. This division provides scientific and strategic development services to clients delivering expertise in the areas of study design, clinical trial logistics, and regulatory representation. Joining Dr. Elder in the department are Senior Director of Consulting Operations Dr. Amy Flynt, Director of Consulting Operations Moya Hawkins, as well as a team of therapeutic development experts.
Regarding the changes, Dr. Elder said, "By formalizing our consulting division, we are uniquely positioned to provide expertise to small pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies that do not have internal capabilities in biostatistics, data management, or clinical operations."
Consulting has been a cornerstone of PharPoint since it was founded in 2007. The recent expansion of these services is in response to a growing need from clients. "We have been successful at keeping the consultative approach as part of our core business philosophy,” said Art Holmes, PharPoint Research’s CEO. “We have long believed that one of the biggest obstacles in our industry is that service providers don't always take the time to listen to their clients and suggest ways to improve study design and strategy.”
PharPoint Research, Inc. is a CRO service provider specializing in clinical operations, data management, consulting services, and biostatistics with offices in Durham and Wilmington, NC. For more information about PharPoint, visit www.pharpoint.com or call (919) 433-2440.
