Tools for building the business case

SOURCE: Healthcare Plastics Recycling Council

The potential for plastics recycling in hospitals is significant to both environmental and human health impacts. A 2014 survey found that two thirds of hospitals surveyed were collecting only 40% or less of recyclable materials.  The challenges that hospitals face are how to successfully integrate recycling practices into a patient care setting, and understanding the economic, regulatory, resourcing and infrastructure nuances that come with it.

To help you develop and present a business case for healthcare plastics recycling to hospital executives, HPRC has developed very useful and practical tools you can access through HPRC’s blog.
