Police find remains of autistic girl in a pit after she left adoptive parents to live with birth motherThe remains of a missing autistic teenage girl who left her adopted parents and went to live with her biological mother have been discovered in a pit on a Missouri farm. Savannah Leckie, 16, moved in with her birth mother, Rebecca Ruud, 39, last year. Ms Ruud has been charged with her murder, abusing a child, tampering with evidence and abandoning a corpse, said Ozark County Prosecutor John Garrabrant.
