Oncology research represents the driving force behind personalized medicine efforts. Having better-performing assays and instrumentation for sequencing tumor samples leads to higher quality data - eventually enabling targeted interventions, reduced off-target effects and superior endpoints.

As part of the webinar series on ‘Sanger Sequencing & Fragment Analysis made easy,’ this webinar will introduce the new extended RAS panel and specifically focus on the usage of Applied Biosystems’ new capillary electrophoresis platform, SeqStudio, in cancer research applications. Participants will learn from case studies and experiences of working with the instrument, along with a discussion regarding obtained results.

The team at Thermo Fisher Scientific has arranged for Dr. Luca Quagliata, a senior director at the University Hospital Basel, to be the speaker for this event.

Quagliata is formally trained in medical biotechnology with a doctorate degree in Vascular Medicine. as a senior director of the Contract R&D Unit at the Institute of Medical Genetics Pathology at the University Hospital Basel, he is leading the operations of Molecular Diagnostics Team and the newly established Contract R&D Unit, where he is responsible for the implementation of new technologies into routine diagnostics.

LabRoots will host this webinar October 19, 2017, beginning at 7:00 a.m. PDT, 4:00 p.m. CET. To learn more about this event, the speaker or to register for free, click here.
