BioForward and Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation partner to provide local health technology companies the opportunity to represent Wisconsin at international health tech conference.

Seven Wisconsin health information and technology companies have been awarded scholarships to attend the HIMSS Annual Conference & Exhibition in Las Vegas, NV, March 5-9, 2018. Recipients will receive opportunities to meet with investors, develop partnerships, showcase their products, and represent Wisconsin’s strength in health technology.

The Small Business Scholarship program is managed by BioForward and supported by funds provided by the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC). Scholarship recipients are Wisconsin health tech companies that demonstrate a positive impact on the biohealth industry and have a financial need.

Physician Compass – Physician Compass’s platform extracts and compiles patient/visit level data for physician quality metrics to be used with government compliance programs as well as health system quality improvement programs.

“These scholarships allow early-stage Wisconsin companies to make connections and explore business partnerships at a conference they may have not had the chance to attend otherwise,” said Lisa Johnson, CEO of BioForward. “It is essential to support our local health tech companies that have a significant impact on the larger biohealth industry, patient care, and our state’s economy.”
