I am a survivor that wants to do something for victims of crimes; I am RESILIENT, I PERSEVERE, I BELIEVE.
WASHINGTON (PRWEB) May 17, 2018
Dunn stated, "I am truly thankful for a second chance at life. I made a choice to either crawl into a hole or do something. I so appreciate my second chance at life. If I can give any hope or inspiration, I want my book to get into the hands of those who need it when they need it. You have two choices in life, crawl into a hole or do something. I am a survivor that wants to do something for victims of crimes. I am RESILIENT, I PERSEVERE, I BELIEVE."
The Sole Survivor scheduled speaking event, held last Thursday, May 10, 2018, was received by a sold-out crowd in Richmond, Virginia by invitation to the Junior League of Richmond 73rd Annual Book and Author Event. Master of Ceremonies and author, Bob Deans stated "This book is a stirring testament to faith. Faith in the human spirit. Faith in one woman's capacity to heal. And faith in her dogged determination to turn personal tragedy into the power of hope for millions of people around the world. Holly made up her mind -- she made the choice -- that she would not live out her life in brokenness. That she would not be defined by tragedy, heartbreak, and fear. That she would find a way to raise her voice on behalf of others to help them on their journey toward wholeness."
Holly K. Dunn, The Sole Survivor, is available for interviews, speaking engagements, and book signings. The Sole Survivor will be a featured guest speaker with the "Be Strong & Courageous" Women Table Talk Tour, on Saturday, June 9, 2018, in Los Angeles, CA.
Dunn has been featured by CBS 48 Hours, People Magazine, NJ Blue Magazine, New York Post, TIME, The National Press Club Annual Author's Event, The University of Kentucky Alumni Magazine and a Women of Influence feature for Sexual Assault Awareness month.
About Holly K. Dunn:
Holly Dunn Pendleton is a survivor, a motivator, and a tribute to the human spirit! The victim of a violent physical and sexual assault and witness to her boyfriend’s murder, Holly has become a beacon of hope and inspiration to many.
Miraculously living to tell her story, Holly motivates others to reclaim their lives after the assault and to help her community build a network of healing and outreach. Holly’s passion to advocate for other victims of violence is extraordinary, and it is this passion that has allowed her and organizations that she is a part of to reach so many people.
Holly’s work includes being the spokesperson for Holly’s House a local sexual abuse and domestic violence advocacy center which she co-founded in her hometown of Evansville, IN. That passion later evolved into her current full-time work as a motivational speaker and trainer, using her own experience and uplifting message to inspire and enlighten.
The CBS 48 Hours episode also highlighted book excerpts from Sole Survivor including Holly's family members and Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority Sisters who were involved during those days. More information can be found at https://www.cbsnews.com/news/48-hours-live-to-tell-the-railroad-killer
