Manchester Science Partnerships (MSP) and the influential entrepreneur network TiE have signed a collaboration deal.The agreement will see MSP become TiE’s official partner in the science and technology sectors in the North West.It will give businesses across the MSP portfolio access to specialist, high quality services from a global network of industry leading entrepreneurs and business advisers.The TiE (UK North) network covers Manchester, Liverpool, Preston and many other key locations in the North West, working to connect experienced business leaders with founders of young businesses with the aim of helping them grow. Through the strategic collaboration, TiE will become official entrepreneurs in residence at MSP, providing TiE mentorship along with access to global funding and valuable business relationships to more than 250 companies across their sites.Anne Dornan, head of innovation and partnerships at MSP, said: “Our goal at MSP is to provide the right environments and connections for innovation to flourish and deliver business success for our community.“This new partnership with TiE, who have a fantastic track record in providing high quality business mentorship and support, will deliver a huge amount of value to our customers.” Vikas Shah, co-president of TiE UK North, said: “MSP is a key component of the North West’s world-class science, technology and innovation architecture.
