(UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center) UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center researchers report that mailing colorectal cancer screening tests to patients insured by Medicaid increased screening rates for this population. Patients who received a screening kit in the mail were more likely to be screened than patients who received a reminder, a finding that suggests this method could serve as a model to improve screening on a larger scale.
