Mehta brings broad philanthropic experience to the leading Bay Area nonprofit

Hope Services, the leading organization improving the quality of life for people with developmental disabilities in the Bay Area, has hired Nivisha Mehta, a longtime consultant and executive to nonprofits, as Director of Development. In this role, she will help increase giving from individuals, corporations, and foundations which is vital to bridging the gap from government sources of funding.

“We look forward to working with Nivisha, and are happy to have her on board,” said Chip Huggins, President and CEO of Hope Services. “Her skills and expertise, especially when it comes to fundraising, are critical to our goals of expanding our services and reach to serve more people and regions.”

Nivisha brings 18 years of experience to Hope Services with a focus on fundraising, grant writing, special event planning, sponsorships, marketing, program strategy and development for nonprofits. She served in similar roles for the Silicon Valley Community Foundation and for Alum Rock Counseling Center.

She also served as a Philanthropy Officer for the El Camino Hospital Foundation for over nine years, and as a board member for the Association of Fundraising Professionals, an organization for which she chaired the board of directors in 2015, and currently serves as Secretary of the International AFP Board.

“I admire the work that Hope Services has been able to achieve, and look forward to being a member of the team and helping extend our ability to serve developmentally disabled people and their families throughout the Bay Area,” said Nivisha.
