A human liver cell atlas

(Max Planck Institute of Immunobiology and Epigenetics) The cellular composition of the liver is incompletely understood. Researchers at the Max Planck Institute for Immunobiology and Epigenetics have created a comprehensive map of all cell types in the healthy human liver using a method named single-cell RNA sequencing. They discovered new subpopulations of liver cell types and demonstrated the usefulness of their human liver cell atlas as a resource to reveal how cells change in liver cancer. The study was published in Nature.
