A short documentary on migraine was released on BBC iplayer on 17 May, 2019, but is there anything new to report? Currently, treatment options vary wildly in their effectiveness in different patients, and the chances of finding a full cure are “slim”, says Jessica Briscoe, a headache specialist and general practitioner based at the National Migraine Centre (London, UK). While research is ongoing, those who experience migraines, having exhausted all avenues of available treatment, are still waiting for that life-changing drug.
