Former President Steve Dobbs Assumes New Role of CEO and Chairman of the Board

Secure Transportation, a Long Beach headquartered passenger transportation company focused on providing solutions for non-emergency medical and other specialty transportation needs, has named Todd Cooper its new President.

Cooper, who previously served as President and CEO of publicly traded Presbia, replaces former president Steve Dobbs, who will assume the role of CEO and Chairman of the Board for Secure.

“We’re very excited to announce Todd Cooper as our new President,” said Dobbs. “As our new top executive, Todd brings with him exceptional expertise that will position us to expand on a national and global level. He not only has healthcare experience, but is also well versed in sales, marketing, and finance. It’s a great fit!”

As President, Cooper will work closely with the Board of Directors and will manage Secure Transportation’s Executive Leadership Team.

Cooper’s extensive background includes a variety of senior-level positions in medical device, surgical, medical aesthetics, dental, consumer products, and healthcare technology companies. He has also served on the Board of the Health Care Distributors Association.

Most recently, Cooper served as CEO and Board Director at Houston-based OrthoAccel Technologies, an orthodontic device manufacturer. As a board member he supported the company’s significant revenue growth.

“Secure Transportation is distinctly positioned at the intersection of people wanting to live healthy independent lives and healthcare providers looking to manage the dramatically rising costs of healthcare,” said Cooper. “I joined the company because it is uniquely positioned to become the leader in this space, largely due to an established reputation for delivering best in class service to its passengers and partners. I’m excited about the tremendous opportunities we have to grow and serve specific needs, while staying true to the company’s core mission of providing the highest level of service possible.”

Prior to his work at OrthoAccel, Cooper served as President and CEO at Presbia and as CEO of NVISION, a network of ophthalmology surgical centers. As VP and General Manager at Henry Schein, a $12.5 billion healthcare company, he was responsible for the company’s $400 million medical surgical business where he oversaw significant growth in its Electronic Health Records, Private Brand and e-Commerce businesses. Prior to Henry Schein, Todd was responsible for overseeing 150% revenue and 600% profitability growth at Discus, a healthcare company. The growth was accomplished through innovative sales and marketing activities, product line expansion, acquisitions and global growth.

As CEO, Dobbs will be working on new business acquisitions, client relations, and oversight of Secure’s culture and values initiatives, as well as charitable and philanthropic activities.
