Vermont releases report by nation's first state-led AI taskforce

(Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth) Earlier today Vermont became the first state in the nation to release a report on artificial intelligence (AI), with the primary recommendation being the establishment of a permanent commission to study AI. The 35-page report was written by a 14-member taskforce which has been meeting regularly since fall 2018 to investigate the field of AI and make recommendations for action and policies with respect to the new technology.
