Dr. Answorth Allen is an attending orthopedic surgeon at Hospital for Special Surgery, specializing in shoulder, knee, and elbow surgery, and an associate professor of clinical orthopedic surgery at Weill Cornell Medical College in New York City.

Dr. Allen received his MD degree from Weill Cornell Medical College. He completed his orthopedic residency at the New York Orthopedic Hospital and Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, and a spine surgery fellowship at University of Pittsburgh. He is a team orthopedist for the New York Knicks basketball team and a former team physician for the New York Mets. He is also a Team Physician for USA Basketball. In addition, Dr. Allen is an orthopedic consultant for the West Indies Cricket Board of Control. He is the former team physician for the Long Island Rough Riders soccer team.
