World's first ultra-high resolution 3D comprehensive mapping of human brain kicks off

(National University of Singapore, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine) Scientists in the Asia Pacific region have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to map the human brain with the use of synchotrons. Though not new technology, this is a novel application of the use of synchotrons. This project focuses on the high throughput of the synchotron and aims to produce a first-of-its-kind ultra-high resolution 3D comprehensive map of the human brain's neural network by 2024.
