Updated shark tagging atlas provides more than 50 years of tagging and recapture data

(NOAA Northeast Fisheries Science Center) A citizen science program more than 50 years old has shed new light on the movements and distribution patterns of 35 species of Atlantic sharks. The updated database revealed new information on some of the least known species, and uncovered a few surprises about where sharks go and how long they live.
