Close valve after each use and when empty. Protect from sunlight when ambient temperature exceeds 52° C (125° F). Read and follow the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) before use.

WARNING: For emergency use only when administered by properly trained personnel for oxygen deficiency and resuscitation. For all other medical applications. Rx only. Uninterrupted use of high concentrations of oxygen over a long duration without monitoring its effect on oxygen content of arterial blood, may be harmful. Maternal Oxygen Administration for Fetal Distress II

Supplementary oxygen is routinely administered to patients, even those with adequate oxygen saturations, in the belief that it increases oxygen delivery. However, oxygen delivery depends n...

Intelligent Oxygen Therapy During Sleep

Long-term oxygen therapy improves survival in patients with severe hypoxia. However, some patients despite this oxygen, experience episodes of low oxygen levels (intermittent hypoxia) espe...

Oxygenation Targets in Cardiac Surgery Patients - a Before-and-after Study

During surgery high concentrations of supplementary oxygen are routinely administrated. However, there is increasing evidence of potential harm with liberal oxygen therapy. The hypothesis ...

Effect of High Levels of Oxygen and Smoking on the Lungs in Human Volunteers

Patients with lung disease experiencing difficulty breathing can be treated with oxygen therapy. This involves the delivery of "extra" oxygen by a face-mask or through small tubes placed ...

Portable Oxygen Concentrator Improvements to Physical Activity, Oxygen Usage, and Quality of Life in Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease Patients Using Long-term Oxygen Therapy (POC-STEP)

To evaluate changes in activity based on the use of portable oxygen concentrators combined with standard of care (SOC) long- term oxygen therapy versus SOC long-term oxygen therapy alone a...

PubMed Articles [3639 Associated PubMed Articles listed on BioPortfolio]

Management of oxygen therapy in the dental practice.

Dental practices should have immediate access to oxygen, oxygen tubing and non-rebreathe oxygen masks in the event of an emergency situation. Although oxygen can save lives, if it isn't administered a...

The case for reporting PO (partial pressure of oxygen), in addition to DO (dissolved oxygen), in studies of aquatic systems.

In this essay, we question the sole use of mg/L (ppm) and the term DO (dissolved oxygen) when referring to oxygen supply in water, and discuss reasons for also reporting the partial pressure of oxygen...

Oxygen alert wristbands (OxyBand) and controlled oxygen: a pilot study.

Despite the introduction of Oxygen Alert Cards, guidelines and audits, oxygen therapy remains overused in NHS practice, and this may lead to iatrogenic mortality. This pilot study aimed to examine the...

Conservative Oxygen Therapy during Mechanical Ventilation in the ICU.

Patients who are undergoing mechanical ventilation in the intensive care unit (ICU) often receive a high fraction of inspired oxygen (Fio) and have a high arterial oxygen tension. The conservative use...

Enhanced oxygen sensing sensitivity by eliminating the protection of triplet phosphorescence.

High oxygen sensitivity (the slope of the Stern-Volmer plot reaches 0.73/μM) is achieved with a phosphorescence indicator, gadolinium-hematoporphyrin monomethyl ether (Gd-HMME), by decreasing the ext...
