Summary of "Preclinical Testing of a Novel Thin Film Nitinol Flow-Diversion Stent in a Rabbit Elastase Aneurysm Model."

Thin film nitinol can be processed to produce a thin microporous sheet with a low percentage of metal coverage (<20%) and high pore attenuation (∼70 pores/mm(2)) for flow diversion. We present in vivo results from the treatment of experimental rabbit aneurysms by using a thin film nitinol-based flow-diversion device.

NO2 gas sensing performance enhancement based on reduced graphene oxide decorated V2O5 thin film.

Here, we demonstrate the improved NO2 gas sensing properties based on reduced graphene oxide (rGO) decorated V2O5 thin film. Excluding the DC sputtered grown V2O5 thin film, rGO was spread over V2O5 t...

Early versus delayed flow diversion for ruptured intracranial aneurysms: A meta-analysis.

The use and timing of flow diversion for aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) is controversial. The objective of this study is to perform a meta-analysis and systematic review to compare overall c...

Predictive value of platelet reactivity unit (PRU) value for thrombotic and hemorrhagic events during flow diversion procedures: a meta-analysis.

Platelet function testing prior to flow diversion procedures, although initially heavily debated, has seen a substantial increase in its adoption to assess the risk of operative and perioperative thro...

Charging of electron beam irradiated amorphous carbon thin films at liquid nitrogen temperature.

We studied the charging behavior of an amorphous carbon thin film kept at liquid-nitrogen temperature under focused electron-beam irradiation. Negative charging of the thin film is observed. The charg...

Temporary or permanent diversion of the flow of urine through the ureter away from the URINARY BLADDER in the presence of a bladder disease or after cystectomy. There is a variety of techniques: direct anastomosis of ureter and bowel, cutaneous ureterostomy, ileal, jejunal or colon conduit, ureterosigmoidostomy, etc. (From Campbell's Urology, 6th ed, p2654)
