The CHADS2 score has mainly been used to predict the likelihood of cerebrovascular accidents in patients with atrial fibrillation. However, increasing attention is being paid to this scoring system for risk stratification of patients with coronary artery disease. We investigated the value of the CHADS2 score in predicting cardiovascular/cerebrovascular events in coronary artery disease patients without atrial fibrillation.

Comparison of the Predictive Roles of Risk Scores of In-Hospital Major Adverse Cardiovascular Events in Patients with Non-ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction Undergoing Percutaneous Coronary Intervention.
We evaluated the relationship between various risk scores (SYNTAX score (SS), SYNTAX score-II (SS-II), thrombolysis in myocardial infarction (TIMI) risk scores and Global Registry of Acute Coronary Ev...
Global Registry of Acute Coronary Events (GRACE) risk score (GRS), a powerful predictor of prognosis after acute coronary event (ACE), does not include a glucometabolic measure. We investigate whether...
Both Global Registry of Acute Coronary Events (GRACE) risk score and CYP2C19 metabolizer status can independently predict major adverse cardiac events (MACEs) in patients with acute coronary syndrome ...
COPD is associated with cardiovascular disease (CVD), and coronary artery calcification (CAC) provides additional prognostic information. With increasing use of non-gated CT scans in clinical practice...
In view of the high mortality for cardiovascular diseases, it has become necessary to stratify the main risk factors and to choose the correct diagnostic modality. Studies have demonstrated that a zer...
The anticoagulation therapy is needed when rhythm control strategy is applied in atrial fibrillation patients but adverse events such as major bleeding exist. This study aims to examine th...

The purpose of this study is to determine whether acadesine is effective in reducing the cardiovascular and cerebrovascular adverse events in high-risk patients undergoing CABG surgery.
The SYNTAX-score has been proposed as a tool for risk stratification and guiding revascularization therapy in patients with complex coronary artery disease. There are limited data on the ...
A specialty concerned with the nursing care of patients suffering from disorders of the CARDIOVASCULAR SYSTEM as well as those identified as at risk for adverse cardiac or vascular events.
Persons who experienced traumatic events during childhood.
Biological actions and events that support the functions of the CARDIOVASCULAR SYSTEM.
A method, developed by Dr. Virginia Apgar, to evaluate a newborn's adjustment to extrauterine life. Five items - heart rate, respiratory effort, muscle tone, reflex irritability, and color - are evaluated 60 seconds after birth and again five minutes later on a scale from 0-2, 0 being the lowest, 2 being normal. The five numbers are added for the Apgar score. A score of 0-3 represents severe distress, 4-7 indicates moderate distress, and a score of 7-10 predicts an absence of difficulty in adjusting to extrauterine life.
Models connecting initiating events at the cellular and molecular level to population-wide impacts. Computational models may be at levels relating toxicology to adverse effects.
