The objective of this study is the verification of the operation of a radiation monitoring network conformed by several sensors. The malfunction of a surveillance network has security and economic consequences, which derive from its maintenance and could be avoided with an early detection. The proposed method is based on a kind of multivariate distance, and the verification for the methodology has been tested at CIEMAT's local radiological early warning network.

We present here for the first time a fast and reliable automatic algorithm based on artificial neural networks for the anomaly detection of a thermoluminescence dosemeter (TLD) glow curves (GCs), and ...
The purpose of this study was to validate a fully automatic treatment planning system for conventional radiotherapy of cervical cancer. This system was developed to mitigate staff shortages in low-res...
Serrated polyposis syndrome (SPS) has been associated with an increased risk of colorectal cancer (CRC). Accordingly, intensive surveillance with annual colonoscopy is advised. The aim of this mult...
With the increasing use of advanced radiation techniques such as intensity modulated radiation therapy, stereotactic radiation therapy, and proton therapy, radiation oncologists now have the tools to ...
The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of a modern automatic tube current modulation (ATCM) and automatic tube voltage selection (ATVS) system on radiation dose and image quality in pedi...
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the treatment of patients with locally advanced rectal cancer for complete response to neoadjuvant chemotherapy without the use of radiation and su...
X-ray beam produced during ERCP affect not only the patient, but the personnel of ERCP team may have the effect from the scattered ray. According to the automatic beam adjustment function,...
Rationale: Since January 2014 the Dutch screening programme for bowel cancer has been implemented. Screening will increase the demand for surveillance. Although patients in whom adenomas h...
The primary objective of this study is to document the success rate of the automatic threshold testat pre-discharge in a normal pacemaker patient population implanted with Guidant Insignia...
This is a randomized controlled prospective study which assigned patient to receive manual CPR or automatic CPR machine use. The quality and efficacy between manual CPR and machine CPR wil...
Surveillance of drugs, devices, appliances, etc., for efficacy or adverse effects, after they have been released for general sale.
Data processing largely performed by automatic means.
Abnormally rapid heartbeats originating from one or more automatic foci (nonsinus pacemakers) in the HEART ATRIUM but away from the SINOATRIAL NODE. Unlike the reentry mechanism, automatic tachycardia speeds up and slows down gradually. The episode is characterized by a HEART RATE between 135 to less than 200 beats per minute and lasting 30 seconds or longer.
The ability of some cells or tissues to withstand ionizing radiation without serious injury. Tolerance depends on the species, cell type, and physical and chemical variables, including RADIATION-PROTECTIVE AGENTS and RADIATION-SENSITIZING AGENTS.
Drugs used to protect against ionizing radiation. They are usually of interest for use in radiation therapy but have been considered for other, e.g. military, purposes.
