Sentinel node mapping is emerging as the alternative to lymphadenectomy in endometrial cancer. The objective of our study is to validate of the sentinel node mapping surgical algorithm and also to compare the performance of the algorithm against endometrial cancer risk subtypes
This is a prospective interventional study carried out at a Single University teaching hospital. All patients with apparent early stage endometrial cancer who underwent robotic assisted surgical staging were included. Intracervical injection of Indocyanine Green dye and sentinel node identification and biopsy was done for all study patients. The node positive rate when using SLN mapping alone versus SLN mapping algorithm were compared. The node positivity was compared against various risk subtypes of endometrial cancer.

To evaluate sentinel lymph node (SLN) mapping for endometrial cancer, using radioisotope and indocyanine green (ICG) injections.
To evaluate the sensitivity, negative predictive value (NPV) and false-negative (FN) rate of the near infrared (NIR) indocyanine green (ICG) sentinel lymph node (SLN) mapping in patients with poorly d...
We analyzed 54,039 women with uterine cancer in the National Cancer Database from 2013 to 2014 including 38,453 (71.2%) who underwent lymphadenectomy, 1929 (3.6%) who underwent sentinel lymph node (SL...
To determine the importance of a dual (cervical and fundal) indocyanine green (ICG) injection and a thorough dissection for the detection of sentinel lymph node (SLN).
The purpose of this study was to report on the feasibility of laparoscopic sentinel lymph node (SLN) staging using indocyanine green (ICG) in the management of endometrial cancer.

First lymph node to receive drainage from the primary tumor. SENTINEL LYMPH NODE BIOPSY is performed to determine early METASTASIS status because cancer cells may appear first in the sentinel node.
A diagnostic procedure used to determine whether LYMPHATIC METASTASIS has occurred. The sentinel lymph node is the first lymph node to receive drainage from a neoplasm.
Neoplasms of the endometrial stroma that sometimes involve the MYOMETRIUM. These tumors contain cells that may closely or remotely resemble the normal stromal cells. Endometrial stromal neoplasms are divided into three categories: (1) benign stromal nodules; (2) low-grade stromal sarcoma, or endolymphatic stromal myosis; and (3) malignant endometrial stromal sarcoma (SARCOMA, ENDOMETRIAL STROMAL).
An internationally recognized set of published rules used for evaluation of cancer treatment that define when tumors found in cancer patients improve, worsen, or remain stable during treatment. These criteria are based specifically on the response of the tumor(s) to treatment, and not on the overall health status of the patient resulting from treatment.
A hereditary disease characterized by multiple ectodermal, mesodermal, and endodermal nevoid and neoplastic anomalies. Facial trichilemmomas and papillomatous papules of the oral mucosa are the most characteristic lesions. Individuals with this syndrome have a high risk of BREAST CANCER; THYROID CANCER; and ENDOMETRIAL CANCER. This syndrome is associated with mutations in the gene for PTEN PHOSPHATASE.
