Anti-rheumatoid arthritis effects in adjuvant-induced arthritis in rats and molecular docking studies of Polygonum orientale L. extracts.

Polygonum orientale L. (family: Polygonaceae), named Hongcao in China, has effects of dispelling wind and dampness, promoting blood circulation, and relieving pain. Our group has already studied and c...

Determination of serum bone-related minerals during denosumab treatment in osteoporosis patients with rheumatoid arthritis: Mineral change by denosumab in osteoporosis with rheumatoid arthritis.

This study included 51 osteoporosis patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) who were treated with anti-resorption drug, denosumab. To date, there has been no report on the changes of bone-related mine...

Recombinant interferon alpha 2b in rheumatoid arthritis: good antigen for rheumatoid arthritis antibodies.

Interferon alpha-induced arthritis and activation of the type 1 interferon pathway during rheumatoid arthritis (RA) has been well documented but the underlying mechanism remains unclear. This study ad...

The Effectiveness of Intravenous Golimumab Administered Directly After Infliximab in Rheumatoid Arthritis Patients.

For patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) who do not respond or lose response to anti-tumor necrosis factor (TNF) biologics, switching to a different anti-TNF can be an effective means to manage sym...

Tocilizumab and the risk for cardiovascular disease: a direct comparison among biologic disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs for rheumatoid arthritis patients.

Multiple studies have observed seemingly unfavorable changes in lipid profiles associated with IL6 receptor antagonists (IL-6R) and some other rheumatoid arthritis (RA) therapies. The real-world cardi...

Associations Between Periodontitis and Autoimmune Antibodies in Rheumatoid Arthritis Disease

The aim of this case control study is to explore the possible association between periodontal destruction and serum anti-CCP antibodies in RA patients and healthy subjects.

Gene-Environment Interactions in Rheumatoid Arthritis Autoimmunity Disease Severity

The objective of the proposed study is to assess the role of smoking and complex gene-smoking interactions in two understudied Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA)groups.

Serum Biomarkers Analysis in Patients With AR Treated With Anti-TMF

Multicenter, prospective, observational study for evaluating if circulant rheumatoid factor, cyclic citrullinated anti-peptide anti-bodies and albumin can be used as potential predictors i...

Pharmacogenomics of Anti-TNF (Anti-tumor Necrosis Factor) Treatment in Patients With Rheumatoid Arthritis

The main aim of this study is to identify genetic markers (at DNA and RNA level) which are involved in the response to treatment with monoclonal antibodies against TNF in patients with rhe...

Safety Study of Abatacept to Treat Rheumatoid Arthritis

The purpose of this study is to compare the incidence rates of infection, malignancy and death among patients with rheumatoid arthritis who are treated with abatacept and those who are tre...

Medical and Biotech [MESH] Definitions

Arthritis in children, with onset before 16 years of age. The terms juvenile rheumatoid arthritis (JRA) and juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) refer to classification systems for chronic arthritis in children. Only one subtype of juvenile arthritis (polyarticular-onset, rheumatoid factor-positive) clinically resembles adult rheumatoid arthritis and is considered its childhood equivalent.

A variable mixture of the mono- and disodium salts of gold thiomalic acid used mainly for its anti-inflammatory action in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis. It is most effective in active progressive rheumatoid arthritis and of little or no value in the presence of extensive deformities or in the treatment of other forms of arthritis.

Rheumatoid arthritis of children occurring in three major subtypes defined by the symptoms present during the first six months following onset: systemic-onset (Still's Disease, Juvenile-Onset), polyarticular-onset, and pauciarticular-onset. Adult-onset cases of Still's disease (STILL'S DISEASE, ADULT-ONSET) are also known. Only one subtype of juvenile rheumatoid arthritis (polyarticular-onset, rheumatoid factor-positive) clinically resembles adult rheumatoid arthritis and is considered its childhood equivalent.

A butyl-diphenyl-pyrazolidinedione that has anti-inflammatory, antipyretic, and analgesic activities. It has been used in ANKYLOSING SPONDYLITIS; RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS; and REACTIVE ARTHRITIS.

An analgesic and anti-inflammatory agent used in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis.
