Summary of "Prediction of midlife hand osteoarthritis in young men."

Improved prediction modeling in osteoarthritis (OA) may encourage risk reduction through calculation of individual and population lifetime risks. There are currently no prediction models for hand OA. Thus, we aimed to i) develop a prediction model for hand OA in men and ii) to contrast its discriminative performance to a prediction model for lung cancer and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

A prediction model for the 40-year risk of knee osteoarthritis in adolescent men.

To simplify the previously published Nottingham 12-year risk prediction model for knee osteoarthritis (OA) and examine whether it can be used to predict the 40-year risk of knee OA in young men.

The risk of incident osteoarthritis of the hand in statin initiators:A sequential cohort study.

We aimed to investigate the association between statin therapy initiation and incident hand osteoarthritis (HOA).

Incident hand oa is strongly associated with reduced peripheral blood leukocyte telomere length.

To evaluate the relationship of telomere length to the prevalence and incidence of hand osteoarthritis in a longitudinal cohort.

Reduced anterior cingulate grey matter volume in painful hand osteoarthritis.

Increasing evidence supports the role of central sensitisation in osteoarthritis (OA) pain. In this study, we used neuroimaging to compare pain-processing regions of the brain in participants with and...

Trajectories of femorotibial cartilage thickness among persons with or at risk of knee osteoarthritis: Development of a prediction model to identify progressors.

There is significant variability in the trajectory of structural progression across people with knee osteoarthritis (OA). We aimed to identify distinct trajectories of femorotibial cartilage thickness...

Predicting the time of OVULATION can be achieved by measuring the preovulatory elevation of ESTRADIOL; LUTEINIZING HORMONE or other hormones in BLOOD or URINE. Accuracy of ovulation prediction depends on the completeness of the hormone profiles, and the ability to determine the preovulatory LH peak.
