The aim of this study was to characterize the pharmacokinetics of mycophenolic acid (MPA) and mycophenolic acid glucuronide (MPAG) in Chinese renal transplant patients taking enteric-coated mycophenolate sodium (EC-MPS). Limited sampling strategies (LSS) were developed to estimate the area under the concentration curve from 0 to 12 h (AUC0-12h) of total and free MPA. Another objective was to investigate the correlation between high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and enzyme multiplied immunoassay technology (EMIT) for total MPA determination.

The aim of the present study is to establish a population pharmacokinetic (PPK) model of mycophenolic acid (MPA) and limited sampling strategy models for the estimation of MPA exposure in Chinese adul...
Tacrolimus and mycophenolic acid dosing after renal transplantation is individualized through therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM). Home-based dried blood spot (DBS) sampling has potential to replace con...
Development of an Abbreviatted Mycophenolic Acid Area-Under-The-Time Concentration Curve for Renal Transplanted Patients under Enteric-Coated Mycophenolate Sodium: A Comparison with Critical Analysis of Available Equations.
Enteric-coated mycophenolate sodium (EC-MPS) is frequently used in renal transplantation. The pharmacokinetic profile of mycophenolic acid (MPA) shows a broad range of time-to-maximum-concentration (T...
In pregnant women, the use of Mycophenolic acid (MPA) is associated with teratogenicity. Recently, the European Medicines Agency (EMEA) and the Spanish Agency of Medicine and Sanitary Products (AEMPS)...
Filgotinib (GS-6034, formerly GLPG0634) is an oral, selective Janus kinase 1 (JAK1) inhibitor that showed early response and sustained efficacy in patients with rheumatoid arthritis and with Crohn's d...
24 Months Follow-up, Two Arm Study to Compare the Cardiovascular Profile in a Regimen With Everolimus + Mycophenolic Acid (MPA) Versus (vs.) a Regimen of CNI+MPA in Maintenance Renal Transplant Recipients
The objective of the study is to compare the cardiovascular profile of an everolimus and mycophenolic acid immunosuppressive regimen with a calcineurin inhibitor and mycophenolic acid regi...
This randomized trial will enroll adult recipients of HLA-identical living kidney transplants who are at least 1 year post-transplant. All subjects will be taking Prograf (tacrolimus) or ...
This is an randomized, double-blind, double-dummy trial, and the objective is to compare the efficacy and safety of Mycophenolic acid (MA) and Azathioprine (AZA), immunosuppressive drugs, ...
The purpose of this study is to investigate the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics (PK) and potential for CFZ533 to replace calcineurin inhibitors (CNI), while providing a similar rate...
This study will evaluate the efficacy and safety of AEB071 in preventing acute rejections after kidney transplantation, when combined with tacrolimus for the first 3 months and with myfort...
An antibiotic substance derived from Penicillium stoloniferum, and related species. It blocks de novo biosynthesis of purine nucleotides by inhibition of the enzyme inosine monophosphate dehydrogenase. Mycophenolic acid is important because of its selective effects on the immune system. It prevents the proliferation of T-cells, lymphocytes, and the formation of antibodies from B-cells. It also may inhibit recruitment of leukocytes to inflammatory sites. (From Gilman et al., Goodman and Gilman's The Pharmacological Basis of Therapeutics, 9th ed, p1301)
The N-glucuronide conjugate of cotinine is a major urinary metabolite of NICOTINE. It thus serves as a biomarker of exposure to tobacco SMOKING. It has CNS stimulating properties.
Metabolite of ASCORBIC ACID and the oxidized form of the lactone DEHYDROASCORBIC ACID.
An omega-6 fatty acid produced in the body as the delta 6-desaturase metabolite of linoleic acid. It is converted to dihomo-gamma-linolenic acid, a biosynthetic precursor of monoenoic prostaglandins such as PGE1. (From Merck Index, 11th ed)
The active metabolite of FOLIC ACID. Leucovorin is used principally as its calcium salt as an antidote to folic acid antagonists which block the conversion of folic acid to folinic acid.
Organ transplantation is the moving of an organ from one body to another or from a donor site to another location on the patient's own body, for the purpose of replacing the recipient's damaged or absent organ. The emerging field of regenerative ...
Within medicine, nutrition (the study of food and the effect of its components on the body) has many different roles. Appropriate nutrition can help prevent certain diseases, or treat others. In critically ill patients, artificial feeding by tubes need t...
