Carboplatin plus etoposide (CE) is a standard treatment for elderly patients with extensive-disease small cell lung cancer (ED-SCLC). However, amrubicin monotherapy (AMR) may be a feasible alternative. We compared the efficacies and safety profiles of CE and AMR for ED-SCLC in elderly patients and chemotherapy-naive patients with poor performance status (PS).

Previous studies have shown amrubicin (AMR) to be an effective second-line treatment option for small-cell lung cancer (SCLC). However, the efficacy of AMR in elderly patients with relapsed SCLC has n...
This study aims to explore the application of actual carboplatin in carboplatin plus pemetrexed regimen as first-line treatment for advanced lung adenocarcinoma, and to determine the recommended dose ...
Etoposide, an anticancer DNA topoisomerase II poison, plays an important role in the therapy for human cancers. Unfortunately, many cancers develop etoposide resistance and do not respond to chemother...
Accumulating evidence has implicated the aberrant regulation of histone deacetylases (HDACs) as a nexus for multiple cancer hallmarks and in mediating tumor adaptation and resistance to genotoxic chem...
The synergistic effects of docetaxel (DTX) combined with carboplatin in the treatment of retinoblastoma (RB) was explored in mouse RB xenografts compared with carboplatin alone and DTX alone groups. R...
This study drug(Amrubicin)is believed to work by stopping the tumor cell in your body from growing. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of amrubicin with cispl...
The purpose of the study is to document the activity and safety of single agent amrubicin, amrubicin combined with cisplatin, and etoposide combined with cisplatin as first-line treatment ...
This proposed trial will investigate the combination of amrubicin and carboplatin in the first-line treatment of patients with extensive-stage small cell lung cancer (ES- SCLC). Since myel...
The purpose of this study is to compare the efficacy and toxicity of amrubicin with carboplatin plus etoposide in elderly patients with extensive-disease small-cell lung cancer.
This study is a Phase 3, global, multi-center, open-label study of patients with extensive-stage small cell lung cancer. Eligible patients will be randomly assigned to receive either pemet...
A semisynthetic derivative of PODOPHYLLOTOXIN that exhibits antitumor activity. Etoposide inhibits DNA synthesis by forming a complex with topoisomerase II and DNA. This complex induces breaks in double stranded DNA and prevents repair by topoisomerase II binding. Accumulated breaks in DNA prevent entry into the mitotic phase of cell division, and lead to cell death. Etoposide acts primarily in the G2 and S phases of the cell cycle.
