Summary of "Draft genome sequence of a NDM-5, CTX-M-15, and OXA-1 co-producing Escherichia coli ST167 clinical strain isolated from urine sample."

Escherichia coli is the leading cause of urinary tract infections worldwide. Carbapenemase producing clinical isolates leave few therapeutic options. Here we report the draft genome sequence of a NDM-5, CTX-M-15, and OXA-1 co-producing E. coli ST167: a multidrug-resistant strain isolated from urine sample of a male hospitalized patient diagnosed with intracranial injury from a traffic accident.

Draft genome sequence of colistin-resistant Escherichia coli ST226: A clinical strain harboring a mcr-1 variant.

Escherichia coli isolates carrying mcr-1 are rarely reported in diarrheal patients. We report here the draft genome sequence of colistin-resistant E. coli isolated from a hospitalized patient with acu...

Draft genome sequence of Escherichia coli ST410 co-harboring bla, bla, bla, aac(3)-IIa, aac(6')-Ib-cr genes with gyrA and parC mutations isolated from pediatric patient in Poland.

Escherichia coli is one of the major agents of nosocomial infections. The aim of this study was to report the first draft genome sequence of an E. coli strain (no. 158) carrying bla, bla, bla, aac(3)-...

Complete and assembled genome sequence of an NDM-5 and CTX-M-15 producing Escherichia coli sequence type 617 isolated from wastewater in Switzerland.

Carbapenem-resistant Escherichia coli have emerged worldwide and represent a major challenge to effective health care management. Here, we report the genome sequence of an NDM-5 and CTX-M-15 producing...

Draft genome sequence of an MDR, CTX-M-15 β-lactamase producing Uropathogenic Escherichia coli (UPEC) isolate (ST131-O25b-H30) from Pakistan exhibiting high potential virulence.

Uropathogenic Escherichia coli (UPEC) is the leading cause of urinary tract infections (UTI). The pandemic ST131 clonal type is associated with multidrug resistance and virulence. We report the first ...

Medical and Biotech [MESH] Definitions

Strains of ESCHERICHIA COLI that are a subgroup of SHIGA-TOXIGENIC ESCHERICHIA COLI. They cause non-bloody and bloody DIARRHEA; HEMOLYTIC UREMIC SYNDROME; and hemorrhagic COLITIS. An important member of this subgroup is ESCHERICHIA COLI O157-H7.

A verocytotoxin-producing serogroup belonging to the O subfamily of Escherichia coli which has been shown to cause severe food-borne disease. A strain from this serogroup, serotype H7, which produces SHIGA TOXINS, has been linked to human disease outbreaks resulting from contamination of foods by E. coli O157 from bovine origin.

Strains of Escherichia coli that possess virulence traits which allow them to invade, colonize, and induce disease in tissues outside of the GASTROINTESTINAL TRACT. They are a cause of URINARY TRACT INFECTIONS (UROPATHOGENIC ESCHERICHIA COLI); neonatal MENINGITIS; SEPSIS; PNEUMONIA; and SURGICAL WOUND INFECTION.

An enterohemorrhagic Escherichia coli of the O subfamily that can cause severe FOODBORNE DISEASE. The H4 serotype strain produces SHIGA TOXINS and has been linked to human disease outbreaks, including some cases of HEMOLYTIC-UREMIC SYNDROME, resulting from contamination of foods by feces containing E. coli O104.

A species of gram-negative, rod-shaped bacteria belonging to the K serogroup of ESCHERICHIA COLI. It lives as a harmless inhabitant of the human LARGE INTESTINE and is widely used in medical and GENETIC RESEARCH.
