The analysis of the results of a multicenter, open, randomized comparative phase III clinical trial on the use of imidafenacin for treating patients with OAB was carried out. A clinical study was cond...
To evaluate the efficacy and safety of alternate-day administration of S-1 as second-line chemotherapy for unresectable pancreatic cancer in a multicenter, randomized, phase II study.
The results of the single-arm, open-label extension phase of the Grafix (cryopreserved placental membrane; CPM; Osiris Therapeutics, Inc, Columbia, MD) multicenter, blinded, randomized, controlled cli...
CanStem111P trial: a Phase III study of napabucasin plus nab-paclitaxel with gemcitabine.
Napabucasin (also known as BBI-608 or BBI608) is an investigational, oral agent hypothesized to inhibit multiple oncogenic pathways. In this article, we describe the design and rationale for the CanSt...
Polyethylene glycol (PEG)-based bowel preparations are effective cleansers but many require high-volume intake. This phase 3, randomized, blinded, multicenter, parallel-group, central reader-assess...
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as alvocidib, cytarabine, and mitoxantrone, work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells or by stoppin...
A Study of DSP-2033 (Alvocidib) in Patients With Acute Myeloid Leukemia
This is an open label, multi-center, phase 1 study of DSP-2033 (Alvocidib) in combination with cytarabine/mitoxantrone (ACM regimen) or cytarabine/daunorubicin (A+7+3 regimen) in patients ...
The purpose of this Phase I study is to determine the safety and tolerability including the maximum dose (MTD) and dose-limiting toxicities (DLTs) of alvocidib when administered over a ran...
Alvocidib Biomarker-driven Phase 2 AML Study
The purpose of this two-stage Phase 2 study is to assess the clinical response (Complete Remission) to FLAM compared to AM treatment in refractory or relapsed AML patients with demonstrate...
Flavopiridol, Cytarabine, and Mitoxantrone in Treating Patients With Acute Leukemia
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy work in different ways to stop cancer cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Combining more than one drug may kill more cancer cells. ...
Multicenter Studies As Topic
Controlled studies which are planned and carried out by several cooperating institutions to assess certain variables and outcomes in specific patient populations, for example, a multicenter study of congenital anomalies in children.
Cytarabine
A pyrimidine nucleoside analog that is used mainly in the treatment of leukemia, especially acute non-lymphoblastic leukemia. Cytarabine is an antimetabolite antineoplastic agent that inhibits the synthesis of DNA. Its actions are specific for the S phase of the cell cycle. It also has antiviral and immunosuppressant properties. (From Martindale, The Extra Pharmacopoeia, 30th ed, p472)
Multicenter Study
Work consisting of a controlled study executed by several cooperating institutions.
Non-randomized Controlled Trials As Topic
Works about a study where participants are assigned to a treatment, procedure, or intervention by methods that are not random. Non-randomized clinical trials are sometimes referred to as quasi-experimental clinical trials or non-equivalent control group designs.
Ancitabine
Congener of CYTARABINE that is metabolized to cytarabine and thereby maintains a more constant antineoplastic action.
