To assess the non-inferiority of Low-power Holmium laser enucleation of the prostate (LP-HoLEP) to high-power (HP-HoLEP) for enucleation efficiency pertaining the advantages of lower cost and minimal ...
We systematically assessed the learning curve of Holmium laser enucleation of the prostate using the available literature to identify, as our primary outcome, the average number of cases required to r...
Moses technology is a novel Holmium:YAG laser system designed to minimize stone retropulsion and improve stone ablation when the laser is not in direct contact with the stone. Our aim was to assess th...
To summarize the experience of flexible ureteroscopic holmium laser resection in treatment of renal pelvic carcinoma and to evaluate its value in treatment of renal pelvic carcinoma.
Urinary stones can be readily disintegrated by Holmium:YAG laser (Holmium laser lithotripsy), resulting in a mixture of small stone dust particles which will spontaneously evacuate with urine and larg...
The purpose of this research study is to is to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of the FDA approved Holmium:YAG laser for reducing lower eyelid bags.
Many options currently exist to relieve the symptoms caused by benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). At present, transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP) serves as the surgical standa...
The purpose of this study is to study the outcome of patients after ureteroscopy in which all fragments remaining after holmium laser lithotripsy were retrieved compared to those where sma...
The primary objective of this study is to compare the time to acceptable stone fragmentation during clinical use of the holmium laser when using energy settings 0.2J vs 0.8J. The hypothesi...
In this study, Investigators planned to compare Holmium Laser ejaculatory sparing and non-ejaculatory sparing (conventional) TUIP using both subjective and objective assessment tools for t...
In screening and diagnostic tests, the probability that a person with a positive test is a true positive (i.e., has the disease), is referred to as the predictive value of a positive test; whereas, the predictive value of a negative test is the probability that the person with a negative test does not have the disease. Predictive value is related to the sensitivity and specificity of the test.
A technique utilizing a laser coupled to a catheter which is used in the dilatation of occluded blood vessels. This includes laser thermal angioplasty where the laser energy heats up a metal tip, and direct laser angioplasty where the laser energy directly ablates the occlusion. One form of the latter approach uses an EXCIMER LASER which creates microscopically precise cuts without thermal injury. When laser angioplasty is performed in combination with balloon angioplasty it is called laser-assisted balloon angioplasty (ANGIOPLASTY, BALLOON, LASER-ASSISTED).
Holmium. An element of the rare earth family of metals. It has the atomic symbol Ho, atomic number 67, and atomic weight 164.93.
Symptoms of disorders of the lower urinary tract including frequency, NOCTURIA; urgency, incomplete voiding, and URINARY INCONTINENCE. They are often associated with OVERACTIVE BLADDER; URINARY INCOMPETENCE; and INTERSTITIAL CYSTITIS. Lower urinary tract symptoms in males were traditionally called PROSTATISM.
Narrowing of any part of the URETHRA. It is characterized by decreased urinary stream and often other obstructive voiding symptoms.
Prostate cancer (cancer de prostata) Prostate cancer (cancer de prostata) is a form of cancer that develops in the prostate, a gland in the male reproductive system. Most prostate cancers are slow growing; however, there are cases of aggressive prostat...
